    Emergency card replacement

    If the card has been stolen or damaged so much that it cannot be accepted for payment or it is not possible to issue cash on it, the holder can contact the Global Customer Support Service by ordering a temporary card and receive it at the place of his stay.

    Temporary cards are produced and personalized at specially created Visa personalization centers located in six cities on four continents. These are Louisville (USA), Miami (USA), Sydney (Australia), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Cologne (Germany) and Singapore.

    A temporary card issued to a holder when using the Emergency Card Replacement service differs from a regular card in appearance and function.

    The main characteristics and differences of temporary cards:

    • Temporary cards are embossed, therefore, they can be used in trade enterprises and the Internet
    • The card does not contain the name of the bank
    • The card is issued with a number and validity period determined by the issuer
    • Temporary cards cannot be used at ATMs, as they are personalized without a PIN code

    The delivery time to the holder of a temporary card depends on the class of the Visa card that needs to be replaced:

    A temporary card can be delivered to the holder by courier at the place of temporary residence, for example, to a hotel. If the holder is actively traveling or cannot indicate the place of temporary residence, the holder can receive a temporary card at one of the branches or offices of the local bank, while the address and time of receipt are negotiated with the operator of the Global Customer Support Service. Also, the holder can receive the card in person at one of the emergency card personalization centers. A temporary card can be issued even in case of loss of identification documents, by identifying the holder using a security question and answer agreed between the holder and the operator of the Global Customer Support Service.

    If, for any reason, it is not possible to use a Premium Visa card while traveling (the card has been lost, stolen, damaged), the holder can receive cash using the Emergency cash withdrawal service.

    The holder can receive cash within the framework of the Emergency cash withdrawal service at the service points of Western Union or MoneyGram or ESL (Emergency Service Location) payment systems. In total, at the moment, to receive cash within the framework of the Emergency cash withdrawal service, the holder can choose one of more than 270,000 points around the world. Cash can be issued to the holder even in case of loss of identity documents, by identifying the holder using a secret question and answer.

    The Emergency cash withdrawal service implies the receipt by the holder of cash in the amount of up to $ 5,000 in the equivalent of the currency of the country of location. Minimum amount cash dispensing is not limited. An Emergency cash withdrawal request is made by the holder and confirmed by the issuing bank. In some cases, Visa may decide to approve an emergency cash disbursement to Visa Platinum holders of up to US $ 2,000 without confirmation by the issuing bank.

    The term of the Emergency cash withdrawal depends on the class of the Premium Visa card belonging to the holder and his location:

    If a Visa card is lost, the holder can contact the Visa Global Customer Support Service to block the card and notify the issuing bank about it.

    To inform about a stolen / lost card, the holder should call the Visa Global Customer Service. Visa Global Customer Service Operator will answer the call in English, however, if necessary, a Russian-speaking operator or simultaneous interpreter can be connected to the conversation. The holder must indicate his name and surname, the name of the bank that issued the Visa card, the full card number.

    With the full card number available, the Visa Global Customer Service operator will instantly block the card.

    Cardholder information service

    The cardholder can receive information support regarding the use of Visa cards around the clock and anywhere in the world, the location of the nearest ATMs, etc.

    Both the Visa cardholder and a representative of the issuing bank on behalf of the Visa cardholder can contact the Global Customer Support Service. The operator receiving the call will contact the Visa cardholder or representative of the issuing bank in English. If the issuing bank representative or Visa cardholder does not speak English, then you should persistently repeat your request in your own language and not hang up. A simultaneous interpreter will be connected within 20 seconds from the start of the conversation.
